Coming Soon!

Latest news for CAP members, from September onwards there will be no more CAP meetups untill later in December. The reason is I am going to deliver soon and with a baby in hand, there will be loads of things for me to do. The wise choice is to stop the CAP activities for the moment.
Do not worry as coming up in December, we will see some new fun stuff for the children in CAP.

Meanwhile, near the end of August, I will try to organize a children baking class for all CAP members. If you are interested, do let me know. The venue and time will be announce once I got the details from the Pastry Chef. Again, limited seats only as Baby chefs are fun and messy! There will be a certain fee imposed, and again I need to discuss with the Pastry chef for a suitable price.

Second CAP- Flowers & Seeds

This is our Second CAP in July. The theme is Seeds & Flowers. The children have fun learning about the different flowers and seeds. They had so much fun, actually we all had fun! :)
The 1st session, Study the plant. Children learn about the parts of a plant.
The flower, stem, leaves and roots. They enjoy the colouring part too.

Well these are thier masterpieces......

This session is to recognizing the types of flowers. We have them use magnifying glass to study the flowers before colouoring them and remember their names! It was fun looking at them staring at the real flowers. They can get the idea what it looks like for real!

See they are colouring it with the exact colour of the real flowers..... interesting!

We had a mini birthday party during the interval session. Little Jing Yee is 3 years old! Happy Birthday to Jing Yee, as you know every kids love birthday party! They all help to blow the candles!

Now the 3rd session, we have the little ones do the seed mosaic. All mommies are great, they all bring in different seeds for the children to explore. many different colours and sizes. the kids are great artist too in making the mosaic! Hope we can see the outsome later in a weeks time!

Well, here you are their masterpieces of Seed Mosaic. Colourful eh?
The combination is awesome too!

Now, the forth session we have the shelling game. The children are suppose
to crack open the peanuts and some peas.
Here they learn about seeds and nuts and how to focus their strength on their little fingers.
Good practice! :)

Lastly the most interesting part! The flower shop is open! The mommies are selling flowers and the children are busy buying and planting the flowers into the flower pots.
Here they learn about role play, the idea of buying and selling, earning money, about flowers and pesticides... etc. All the kids love this last part. They were all queing up to buy things in the shop!

Here are the flowers that they coloured earlier, and made into flower sticks by the mommies!
Flowers for sale!

Pesticides, Fertilizers and Weed killers for sale too!

Here are some seeds for sale in the flower shop.

Finally, here are some of the planted flowers that the kids bring home that day!
Some bought pesticides and fertilizer too!
Now I hope all the kids learn about flowers and plants and how to take care of them too!

Yay! We all had fun.... hope to see you all again next time!

Funny Faces

This is the Funny Faces mini project that I have been creating for my little one recently. This idea is simple to make and fun to play with. I got this idea from the internet after some research... but I forgot the link already. Well, first you can get some magnet sheets and draw in some funny faces, viola! Just cut it out and ask your little ones to assemble together the goggly eyes, tiny noses and little mouths on a metal lid. In the end, you will have these funny faces and have the little one laugh and smile! Wonderful is it not?
