Summer is here!
We had this summer sponge party,
so many spongy activities for the kids to do and have fun!
Do you like sponge too?
See what we do here at our creative playgroup!
Have a spongy day!

We started off with the long spongy art, all of the kids get to
sponge and chop all the different shapes of sponges around!
Over here we are not concentrating on colour but
more on shapes and techniques of
using sponge to make a print on the paper.
Time to sit down and cut!
We have the kids to cut out their own
Sponge Flower Bomb!
They sure loving it.

It's time to make my sponge boat!
Here they are making their own
sponge sail boat that can float on the water tub!
Great for some bath fun at home.
Look at my sponge sail boat!

Last but not least, our final sponge fun!
Here, we have washing with sponge,
and playing with sponge!
*A special note: Almost all children love washing the dishes,
you all can repeat this at home to kill some time!
You just need:
A tub
A sponge
some bath soap
water
Plastic toy plates/ utensils
Apron

You know they will love it!
Repeat as often as you can.
Look at how they play with their own creation, fun right!
they sure know how to play with sponge now.
Once again, we all had spongy fun,
the 2 little ones, you know who you are;
had a really good time sponging and splashing around!

Glitter Bling Bling***

Here comes July again.... well, I have been doing this
Creative Art Playgroup (CAP)for a Year now!
So I have decided on the Glitter Bling Bling theme!
Come on, every children loves bling and me too of course. LOL.
We had lots of fun and here are the activities that we have done!
All children loves it so much and we had a blast.
 First, we all started with a glitter dough, the children start from scratch;
which is flour, salt, water and glitter!
They sure love the mess.
As you can see here, they are using the dough to press their hand print
for keepsake. The rest of the dough can make into
different things like elephant, lollipop etc.
and air dry it to stay in shape.

Secondly, for the glitter art, we have glitter fireworks.
The children love to sprinkle the glitters on the glue;
they all have so much fun doing this.
I personally think this is the most interesting jar for them to make.
All of them could not wait for it to happened; they got so excited and keep on
shaking the jar before I could stop them to add in the water and the glitters!

Lastly, the children need a bit of exercise.
They learn how to hit the balloon and try to poke it so
it will burst off with the glitters and all.

We all had so much fun again.
I know the children love it through the look on their faces;
they were fascinated and happy that what they could do!

Thanks again to all that participated!
You all make it happened and merrier.

Hoo La La Circles

This June we had fun with circles!
I incooperated Wassily Kandinsky colourful circles into our first session art project.
After introducing Kandinsky and his work to the children,
they started painting their own version of Kandinsky inspired circles in squares.
After the painting session, we are making it big this time.
So we do giant artwork by using recycle toilet rolls and caps.
The children enjoy making little circle prints all over the big piece of paper.
After a lot of printing and finger paint the circles,
they got tired a bit but worth the effort, as they are making a big art piece!
So time for breakfast after all the hard work!
This time they are making round circle Jam sandwiches; yummy!
They are making Mickey Mouse, Puppy Paws... using round cookie cutter!
Oh lastly, we all love balloons,
We made the children write and draw circles on balloons.
Oooo, some of them write their own names on the balloons too!
Yay, we all had fun again.
See you all next time!

Exciting Rock. Paper. Scissors Day!

It is a hot sunny day, and all children are excited about the Bunny making session with
our guests Artists from Cardpuccino, Ms. Cindy and Ms. Josie.
The fun begins with the children tracing and cutting away.
You can see how they love the scissors!
They cannot wait to start cutting the bunny ears.
Now the assembling begins, and tada..... here's the rock bunny!

Oh look how lovely my bunny is at the garden!
It loves being there too!

The second session starts by introducing to the children about paper sculpture.
Different techniques are being taught and
they start making them with some colourful papers.
Here's how their paper sculpture look like!
All in 3-dimensional  form!
Next we did some rock art painting. The children had fun painting it
but due to time constrain, they have to finish it at home!
Well, am glad to say they all had fun!
Thanks to our guest artist Cindy and Josie again.
Hope in future we will have more activities like these!

All little ones impressed us all by
making their own sandwich and
insists on putting it all together by themselves!
It was a great challenge for some little kids but they manage it very well.

Rub-A-Duck-Tub

Rub A Duck Tub, A Rubber Duck theme for Our Creative Art Playgroup!
It was a cloudy Morning, we started off with
dotting the ducks with colourful colours,
but this time we wet the duck first! See the ducks have polka dots!
All little fingers paint their duck using the cotton swaps and
are free to dots wherever they want.
Their patience are being tested, not all finished their painting though!
All getting excited to make their own Ducky Cupcake!
Anxiously waiting to eat it too!
To our surprise, all children manage to
joint the cuppies and create their own version of duckies!
They get to decorate their ducks with tiny marshmallows and edible beads.
Can you see our lovely creations?
Those little ducks are just too pretty to be eaten, snap a shot first before eating it!

Next we had a scooping duckies time,
this get to brush up their motor skills and concentration.
Some even get to scoop 2 at once, even better.
Rule number one, no hands get to touch the ducks!

Here all ready line up to go for the ducky race!
Quack quack here we come, go number one and keep on coming.
We get the children to move about differently and work on their muscles a bit!
 Time for some fun!
Here all the kids go wild splashing water and
get wet like what little ducks do!
 Rub-A-Duck-Tub
We love water &
We had fun!
Lastly, some quiet moment to calm down before going home.
Now Story time!
I have a book about all different types of duck
which is very interesting for the kids to learn more about ducks.
They love the pictures and got really interested about ducks!
After the reading session, all were tired and ready for lunchtime!
Thanks to all who participated, all children had a blast with the ducks!
